Neilcorp Homes a Finalist in Prestigious Award of Excellence

April 1, 2009 - The Tarion Award of Excellence for Customer Service is the most prestigious honour an Ontario new home builder can be awarded.  In 2007, Neilcorp Homes received this distinction, placing in the top five out of over 18,000 other Ontario home builders in the medium-sized builder category.

Originally know as the Ontario New Home Warranty Program, the Tarion Warranty Corporation has been operating for over 30 years, and currently protects more than 1.45 million new home buyers in Ontario. Neilcorp Homes has been registered with Tarion since 1994, and our history of exceptional quality and workmanship has always been recognized by the Tarion body.

Neilcorp Homes' co-owners Doug McIntosh and Robert Dick strongly believe in the important role Tarion plays in the Ontario new home building industry. Although Tarion has been conferring Awards of Excellence to Ontario home builders for a number of years, 2007 was the first year Neilcorp Homes entered the competition.  Prior to this year, the Tarion Award of Excellence was awarded to Ontario building companies without consulting home buyers and other customers. 2007 marked the first year that the award was based on customer feedback, and this is why Neilcorp Homes chose to finally put their name in the running.

"We believe that if it's the Customer Award of Excellence, then it should be the customers deciding," says McIntosh. After all, Neilcorop Homes is committed to building a reputation that is "synonymous with quality, and the best judges of that quality are the people who live in our new homes day in and day out."

Being a finalist in the Tarion Award of Excellence is something Neilcorp Homes is extremely proud of.
